In loving memory of

Tracy Paulette Alford

In November 2021, our founder, Georgie Aldous, tragically learned that his late mother, Tracy Paulette Alford, had been diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive blood cancer, known in the medical world as high-grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

She was given a maximum of one year to live if chemotherapy and radiotherapy were successful, but this failed due to her already weakened immune system.

Tracy had suffered from Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) since the age of 18, along with other conditions such as pneumonia and sepsis, which she battled several times throughout her life.

This led to numerous hospital visits, and for many years, the hospital became like her second home.

Within a week of being admitted to the hospital for a low haemoglobin count (cells that carry oxygen around the body), she was taken to intensive care and placed on a ventilator that was keeping her alive.

Tracy peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on 11/01/22 at 9:07 AM.

She was strong, kind, caring, unique, cutthroat, and had an extreme love for everything that smelled good.

In December 2021, Georgie promised her that he would create a fragrance company so her legacy would never be forgotten, and here it is.

So, this is where our story begins, and you can help us write the rest.

Georgie's Funeral Speech

To Mum,

Each morning I wake up and go into your room, and I just can’t believe I will never see you again. The person I relied on the most. My lifeline, my guide, my mentor, my angel.

No more sitting at the end of your bed with you asking how I am and me saying I’m fine, even if I wasn’t, but you knew that. You always knew if I wasn’t feeling great and you would make me feel so much better.

Now that you’re gone, who will I go to for advice? Who will I celebrate my achievements with? Who will pick me back up when I fall? So many questions that I will carry with me forever. So many regrets. So many memories. So much love.

You taught me to be the strong thinker I am today, and for that I will always be thankful. I will carry on your legacy and never let your name be forgotten.

You fought so hard, right until the end, and we are so proud of you. You can now rest, without judgement, without pain, without fear.

One day I will be with you again, and we can burn wax melts together, but until then, I hope to make you proud, in everything I do.

Love,

Georgie.
